According to CoinMeta, Qantas Group's annual report for the fiscal year 2026, released on the 27th, shows that due to the increase in fuel costs caused by the conflicts in the Middle East, the group's after-tax profit decreased by nearly 20% year-on-year. The financial report indicates that for the fiscal year ending June 30 of this year, the group's pre-tax profit was 2.06 billion Australian dollars (approximately 1.4 Australian dollars per US dollar), a decrease of 13.8% year-on-year, and the after-tax profit was 1.29 billion Australian dollars, a decrease of over 19% year-on-year. Vanessa Hudson, CEO of Qantas Group, stated that because of the higher fuel prices due to the conflicts in the Middle East, the group's fuel costs for that fiscal year increased by 610 million Australian dollars.
