According to CoinMeta, as reported by foreign media, Kritcharat Hirunyasiri, a member of the Thai Gold Traders Association, stated on Thursday after attending a meeting with the Thai Ministry of Finance that the ministry has no plans to impose a gold tax in the near future. He pointed out that any tax on gold would harm the industry. Earlier this week, the Thai Ministry of Finance mentioned that it would discuss the issue of a gold tax with the Gold Traders Association.
