According to CoinMeta, Bitfinex Securities has announced the launch of a tokenized nickel security, ALKN, which is pegged to Alkemya Metacore, which holds a inventory of high-purity nickel wire worth $1.6 billion. Alkemya Metacore plans to raise $50 million through ALKN, with the funds to support the business development of its subsidiary Green Transitional Metals in the field of nickel product research and development and commercialization. The initial subscription for ALKN tokens to qualified investors will continue until October 15th, and this project is the first tokenized commodity issuance project under El Salvador's digital asset regulatory framework.
