On-Chain Analyst: Polkadot Network Suffers from Address Poisoning Attack, Resulting in Losses of $9.4 Million
2026-08-27 19:55:14
According to CoinMeta, an on-chain analyst specter disclosed in a post that over the past four weeks, the Polkadot (tron) network has experienced a series of address poisoning attacks, resulting in a total loss of $9.4 million for 15 victims. The two most affected victims lost $2.5 million each, while another victim suffered a loss of $2 million. On-chain tracking shows that after the attacks, the attackers quickly exchanged the stolen assets for the decentralized stablecoin usdd and transferred them to a collection address. Currently, the entire amount of $9.4 million is still held in this collection address. specter calls on Polkadot ecosystem wallet service providers to take immediate measures to intercept such malicious activities and reminds users to carefully verify the transaction history addresses when copying them.
