The platform had completed its certification with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) the previous day and planned to launch the related products no earlier than August 27th. On the same day, Polymarket US certified Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana price contracts. These three types of contracts were submitted in pairs and were classified as swap contracts under the subcategory of binary options. NFL contracts and cryptocurrency contracts also fall under these classifications. The compliance analysis documents for NFL were submitted separately with a confidentiality request, and Polymarket US requested that they not be disclosed permanently. As of the time of recording, another NFL American football starting qualification contract was still in a certified state.
