2026-08-28 10:14:38
According to CoinMeta, BNZ indicates that strong inflation and economic growth signals the possibility of the New Zealand Central Bank (RBNZ) further tightening its monetary policy. The market has priced in a 94% probability of a rate hike, with expectations that RBNZ will raise the official cash rate by 25 basis points to 2.75% in the upcoming monetary policy statement. BNZ predicts that inflation will remain above the target range until mid-2027, with the annualized CPI for the September quarter expected to be 3.7%, higher than the 3.3% forecast in July by RBNZ.
