U.S. forces remove mines from the Strait of Hormuz, oil prices fall slightly

According to CoinMeta, Brad Cooper from the U.S. Central Command stated that the U.S. military has removed the mines from the international waters of the Strait of Hormuz, calling this action an important step towards restoring safety in the waters. Although Cooper did not claim that all mines had been removed, analysts believe that some may still remain. Influenced by this news, oil prices fell slightly. Meanwhile, Japan's core consumer price index rose by 1.8% year-on-year in August, exceeding the expected 1.7% and approaching the Bank of Japan's target of 2%, which further increased market expectations for a rate hike by the BOJ in September. Japanese Finance Minister Shizuko Katsumi confirmed her attendance at next week's G20 Finance Ministers' meeting, and the market is watching to see if she will meet with U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
