According to CoinMeta, Zhao Changpeng (CZ), the founder of Binance, stated in a community Q&A on Binance Clubhouse Bali on August 23, 2026, that he would not advise young people to sell their houses and invest all their funds in cryptocurrencies, especially when the house already constitutes a large portion of their personal wealth. He mentioned that he sold his house to buy Bitcoin in 2014 because he was optimistic about the long-term growth of BTC, and even if Bitcoin dropped to zero, his life would not be affected. However, not everyone can afford such a outcome. Therefore, he advises most people to regularly invest 1%–10% of their income in top crypto assets that they recognize.
