According to CoinMeta, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Khamenei criticized U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen's claim that the United States facilitated the passage of 130 million barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz over the past 14 days, and pointed out that a Moody's survey in June showed that the war in Iran cost U.S. taxpayers $132 billion. Khamenei alleged that a U.S. trading company Jane Street lost over $130 million due to short-selling oil in a futures rollover transaction, and also mentioned the soaring yields on U.S. long-term government bonds.
