According to CoinMeta, as reported by TASS, Sberbank, Russia's largest bank, Vice Chairman Anatoly Popov stated that the bank plans to continue developing loan services that use digital assets as collateral. In the future, in addition to Bitcoin, Ethereum and stablecoins USDT are also planned to be accepted as collateral assets. Popov mentioned that Sberbank already has practical experience in cryptocurrency asset services, and once the new regulatory framework comes into full effect, they will adjust existing products and gradually expand the range of related products. However, this plan still depends on regulatory approval. Popov emphasized that assets such as ETH and USDT can only be included in the collateral range after the Russian Central Bank permits their public circulation.
