According to CoinMeta, SemiAnalysis released a Neocloud (new cloud) security deep-dive report on August 30th, revealing various cross-tenant security vulnerabilities discovered during the ClusterMax 3.0 testing period. The report indicates that over a four-month testing period, the team covered 25 suppliers and 32 clusters, and by utilizing only publicly known vulnerabilities and basic configuration checks, they were able to identify multiple instances of cross-tenant remote code execution (RCE). Affected entities included banks, telecommunications companies, universities, research institutions, and a national intelligence agency. The report also mentioned that there was no significant increase in vulnerabilities after the AI coding model became widespread, and provided a detailed description of an incident where OpenAI trained agents to attack Hugging Face.
