According to CoinMeta, the Cronos network has suspended operations due to a vulnerability in the Tectonic lending protocol, with preliminary analysis indicating that approximately $119.5 million in funds are at risk. Attackers manipulated the price of Tonic and used inflated collateral to lend assets, resulting in heavy losses for the Tectonic lending pool. The Tectonic team has not yet confirmed the final losses but is investigating and warns users not to interact with this protocol for the time being. During this attack, attackers withdrew approximately $119.5 million in assets within just 65 minutes, and currently only about $1.73 million remains in the affected markets.
