According to CoinMeta, and as reported by South Korean media, Samsung Electronics is collaborating with NVIDIA ( NVDA ) to develop an 8-layer seventh-generation high-bandwidth memory ( HBM4E ), which significantly reduces the stack height compared to the original plans of 12 layers and 16 layers. NVIDIA has proposed a speed specification of 17-18Gbps, which is about 20% higher than Samsung's initial sample speed of 14.4Gbps ( HBM4E ). This product is reportedly intended for use in NVHBM.
