According to CoinMeta, a Reuters survey indicates that Saudi Arabia may raise the official selling price of crude oil destined for Asia in October ( OSP ), with an expected increase of 2 to 6 dollars per barrel. The survey shows that the price of Arab Light crude oil, as the flagship variety, is expected to rise in October ( OSP ) to match the average price of Oman/Dubai crude oil, or to trade at a premium of up to 4 dollars per barrel above that benchmark. This anticipated price increase comes after a significant strengthening of the Middle East spot crude oil market. On August 21, the premium of Dubai crude oil spot over swap prices rose to 13.58 dollars per barrel, the highest level since the end of May. The average premium this month is about 9.71 dollars per barrel, compared to only 1.26 dollars per barrel in July.
