According to CoinMeta, on August 31, Leonid Likhachev, the CEO of Rosatom, stated to the media that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant has been operating solely on its own diesel generators for 11 consecutive days, and the situation is concerning. He pointed out that there are significant discrepancies between Rosatom's predictions regarding the duration of the power plant's autonomous operation and the assessments of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Due to the continuous shelling by Ukrainian forces on the roads leading to the nuclear power plant, fuel transportation has become dangerous. Rosatom is making every effort to ensure that diesel fuel can be transported under any circumstances, and securing the fuel supply for the nuclear power plant is a top priority. Likhachev emphasized that Rosatom has full control over the situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, while the Kiev regime is doing its utmost to worsen the situation there. The company hopes to establish a ceasefire mechanism for the maintenance of the external "ferroalloy" power transmission lines within this week.
