Bank of America Securities: August economic data may change the Fed's prospects for raising interest rates in September
2026-08-31 20:50:15
According to CoinMeta, in a report, Bank of America Securities stated that after Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh delivered a speech on Friday, the market's expectation of a rate hike in September rose to nearly 60%. However, the Fed's future tightening policies may still depend on the economic data for August, which will be released soon. Analysts pointed out that if the August data is very weak, the situation could still change. But if there is no significant unexpected decline, then the responsibility for a September rate hike falls on Warsh. The August employment report will be released this Friday. The July employment report was significantly weaker than analysts' expectations, prompting some economists to question the potential growth momentum of the U.S. economy.
