US Stocks Today: S&P 500 and Dow Jones decline due to oil prices, interest rates, and September risks

According to CoinMeta, U.S. stocks opened lower today, with the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average under pressure from rising oil prices and increasing Treasury yields. The Dow Jones fell by 97.4 points, or 0.18%, to 53,462.6 points; the S&P 500 also declined by 0.18% to 7,697.52 points; and the Nasdaq Composite Index dropped by 0.17% to 26,358.56 points. The rise in oil prices is mainly due to the U.S. military actions against Iran, with Brent crude oil prices breaking through $90 per barrel, exacerbating market concerns about inflation. The yield on 10-year Treasuries is approaching 4.75%, as investors weigh high energy prices against a more hawkish interest rate outlook. Market analyst Mark Minervini pointed out that the S&P 500 is entering a relatively difficult period in history, and the increase in oil prices and interest rates may have a negative impact on risk appetite.
