According to CoinMeta, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) publicly sought feedback on proposed legislative amendments to the Payment Services Act of 2019 on September 1st, with the aim of establishing a regulatory framework for stablecoins in Singapore. This consultation takes into account the development of the stablecoin industry since 2023 and covers policy positions regarding the issuance of stablecoins in multiple jurisdictions as well as those issued overseas. The deadline for submitting comments is October 16th.
