According to CoinMeta, Binance has begun offering options trading linked to over 1,000 U.S. stocks and ETF to users outside of the United States. The relevant services are provided through its Abu Dhabi entity Nest Trading Limited and in collaboration with the U.S.-registered broker Alpaca Securities LLC, which is responsible for order execution, clearing, and custody. Binance, the head of trading at the exchange, stated that there is a growing demand for traditional asset-related products on crypto infrastructure. Binance data shows that the monthly trading volume of its traditional asset perpetual contracts has increased from approximately $30 billion in January this year to about $445 billion in July, a growth of about 15 times. Jan believes that, compared to perpetual contracts, options offer a clear expiration date and more precise risk exposure, and there is no mandatory liquidation mechanism similar to that of leveraged perpetual contracts.
