Wintermute: BTC Spot ETF Had a Net Inflow of Approximately $924 Million Last Week

According to CoinMeta, Wu said that on August 31 during a market update, BTC indicated that after rising by 23% in the previous week, it entered a period of consolidation, with only a 0.10% increase last week, and encountered resistance around $82,000 several times. Last week, there was a net inflow of approximately $924 million into the spot ETF, and after nine consecutive trading days of positive inflows, there was a net outflow of $202 million on Friday. ETH ETF saw a net inflow of about $816 million during the same period, with no single-day net outflows. Wintermute believes that the continuous two-week inflow of institutional funds distinguishes this round of market activity from a simple bearish squeeze. Following Federal Reserve Chairman Warsh's speech, which weakened the previous narrative of "currency devaluation trades," BTC still maintains a high level, and the current price support comes more from the replenishment needs of less experienced investors. In September, before FOMC, the focus will be on whether $75,000 and $82,000 levels can be held. If there is a negative weekly capital flow in ETF or if the weekly chart falls below $72,000, then the current assessment will no longer hold.
