According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, Kalshi plans to apply to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for regulatory approval of a WTI perpetual crude oil contract as early as next week. This contract will not have a fixed expiration date and is expected to be traded throughout the day from Monday to Friday. If approved, it will become the first WTI perpetual contract offered through a regulated U.S. exchange. Currently, the specific terms, margin requirements, and settlement methods for this contract have not been confirmed, and CFTC will independently evaluate Kalshi's application.
