According to CoinMeta, a court in Michigan has ordered Kalshi to suspend sports betting contracts in the state, and violations of the ban will result in a fine of $500,000 per day. The Michigan Attorney General's Office stated that Judge Rosmary E. Aquilina signed the ban on September 1st, extending the restrictions on this predictive market platform that have been in place since June. Under the ban, Kalshi is not allowed to offer, list, execute, or settle sports-related contracts to users located in Michigan. The ban will remain in effect until the court reaches a final decision on the case.
