Fidelity: The bear market for Bitcoin may not be over yet
2026-09-04 12:53:22
According to CoinMeta, Fidelity warns that Bitcoin has recorded its strongest monthly gain since November 2024, but this does not prove that the latest crypto bear market has ended. In its fourth-quarter crypto market outlook, Fidelity indicates that Bitcoin, Ethereum, and several altcoins have seen their strongest positive growth since the end of 2025. Bitcoin rose by more than 25% in the third week of August, Ethereum rose by 34.1% during the same period, and Solana rose by 28%. Fidelity warns that this rebound may represent the beginning of a sustained recovery or just a brief bounce within a continuing bear market. Some investors are looking at November 2026 as a possible market bottom, based on Bitcoin's historical four-year cycle. Fidelity emphasizes that historical cycles have never followed a precise four-year schedule, and it is impossible to reliably identify market turning points. Despite the recent price gains, Fidelity states that there is still no guarantee that the bear market has ended.
