According to CoinMeta, as reported by the Russian newspaper Izvestia, Deputy Minister of Finance of Russia Ivan Chebeskov stated in an interview with TASS that, according to expert estimates, about 20 million people in Russia use cryptocurrencies, with a total investment amount of approximately 3.7 trillion rubles (about 44 billion US dollars). This figure includes both cryptocurrencies directly held by individuals and financial products whose value is linked to cryptocurrencies.
