According to CoinMeta, Korean customs data shows that South Korea's semiconductor exports in the first 20 days of September reached $34.12 billion, a year-on-year increase of 259%. This data provides investors with new evidence that the demand for hardware remains strong, driving up global semiconductor stocks. Intel, Micron, and AMD all saw gains in pre-market trading in the United States, while Asian chip manufacturers also strengthened as investors re-evaluated whether recent AI sell-offs were excessive. Semiconductor shipments hit a record of $34.11 billion, accounting for 47.8% of total exports, which is another record for that period. Shipments to China doubled to $16.6 billion, and exports to the United States increased by 118% to $14.2 billion. These data indicate that despite investors' concerns about the valuation and growth rate of AI stocks, the basic hardware cycle is still expanding.
