According to CoinMeta, Google and Apple are seeking employees with expertise in digital assets, indicating that large tech companies are preparing to play a greater role in stablecoins, tokenization, and blockchain payments. Google Cloud is hiring a Chief Architect in Hong Kong who will be responsible for collaborating with protocol foundations, exchanges, custodians, and financial institutions to tokenize real assets in the Asia-Pacific region. The position requires experience in blockchain networks, smart contracts, stablecoin infrastructure, tokenized deposits, and custody technologies. Google stated that this recruitment will provide advice to executives and help shape its product roadmap, aiming to become the preferred cloud service provider for digital asset builders and institutional adopters. Apple is also expanding into the digital assets space, seeking a person to lead Apple Pay's financial products strategy, with the job location being Cupertino, California or New York. Although the recruitment information does not confirm that the two companies will launch new crypto products, it indicates that stablecoins and tokenized deposits are becoming increasingly important within the world's largest technology and payment ecosystems.
