According to CoinMeta, Charles Guillemet, the chief technology officer of Ledger, warned that iPhone users may face Darksword attacks through malicious pages viewed via Safari browsers. This type of iOS exploit takes advantage of vulnerabilities in the blockchain to bypass Apple's security measures, allowing for deep access to iPhone and the theft of sensitive information, including encrypted wallet data. Guillemet pointed out that users may lose their encrypted assets when accessing certain websites and recommended using hardware wallets and updating iOS. In March, the Threat Intelligence Group disclosed Darksword, indicating that multiple attackers have been exploiting this vulnerability since November 2025. Researchers have found attack activities targeting users in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Malaysia, and Ukraine. Google stated that all six vulnerabilities in the Darksword blockchain were fixed with the release of iOS v26.3, and users should update their devices promptly.
