According to CoinMeta, Wu said that the 8-K filing submitted by Circle ( CRCL ) on September 22 revealed that its subsidiary had reached a new five-year cooperation agreement with Binance on September 17 to expand the promotion of USDC and replace the previous agreements signed by both parties in November 2024 and August 2025. Circle will pay monthly incentive fees to Binance based on a certain proportion of the amount of USDC held through its modular smart contract wallet infrastructure services. On the same day, Binance subscribed to 1,237,011 Class A ordinary shares of Circle at a discount of $80.84 per share, for a total amount of $100 million, and the transaction was completed. The relevant shares are subject to a two-year transfer restriction in principle, but there are provisions for early termination and other exceptions.
