Brian Kelly: AI Agents Replace Traditional Hedge Fund Teams

According to CoinMeta, the hedge fund managed by Bracket22 replaced over $5 million in salary expenditures with four AI agents. CNBC recently reported on this senior fund manager's hedge fund; these four AI agents are now responsible for research, risk analysis, chart analysis, and quantitative strategies, with an annual salary of only $40,000 each. Kelly stated that the output of these agents is approximately ten times that of his previous team. The previous team required 7-8 people in New York, Hong Kong, and California to cover a 24/7 crypto market, with annual costs exceeding $5 million. AI agents can now work around the clock without anyone having to get up at 3 a.m. Kelly referred to his remaining role as "flesh on a chair" and noted that in the future, a hedge fund may only need one manager to oversee a small number of people, with a large number of AI agents beneath them.
