Galaxy Digital Purchases $100 Million in Yield-Stable Coins and Expands Loan Limits

According to CoinMeta, Galaxy Digital has used its own balance sheet funds to purchase $100 million worth of Sky Protocol revenue-stablecoins SUSDS, which have been included in the company's reserves, and approved SUSDS to be used as collateral for institutional trading activities. This business has an average loan size of $1.4 billion and serves over 1,600 counterparties. Customers can still receive Sky Savings Rate earnings on their entire positions while borrowing against SUSDS. In addition, Galaxy Digital has also purchased an undisclosed amount of Sky tokens, and both parties are discussing expanding the existing $500 million institutional loan financing limit.
