Visa and Morning Consult Report: American adults' willingness to use stablecoins to rise to 56%

CoinMeta data: A report jointly released by payment giant Visa and Morning Consult indicates that if hypothetical mechanisms such as bank-level anti-fraud protection and deposit insurance are introduced, the willingness of American adults to use stablecoins would increase significantly from 36% to 56%. The survey found that 64% of respondents stated that their trust primarily depends on the specific payment service provider rather than the underlying technology itself; when using traditional commercial banks or global payment networks, the levels of trust are 61% and 60% respectively. If provided directly by existing financial service providers, the willingness to adopt stablecoins would also rise from 36% to 45%. However, there is still a significant cognitive barrier, with 56% of American respondents indicating that they have never heard of stablecoins before, and some who are aware of them still mistakenly believe that their prices will fluctuate as sharply as those of Bitcoin. Currently, the total supply of US dollar-stabilized coins has exceeded $295 billion.
