According to CoinMeta, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission announced that RMB trading will be incorporated into the Stock Connect by July 1 next year, allowing mainland investors to buy and sell Hong Kong stocks directly in RMB. At the same time, John Yau, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, stated that they are building a digital asset platform with the goal of supporting settlement using CBDC by the end of the year, and are also exploring interconnectivity with tokenized deposits and compliant stablecoins.
