According to CoinMeta, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Blockchain.com have reached a memorandum of understanding to issue tokenized U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to global crypto users. This initiative will be carried out through the digital alternative trading system planned under the NYSE program and requires necessary regulatory approvals. The agreement does not specify the final custody chain for each share, eligible customers, or the terms for converting tokens into traditional holdings. The platform aims to enable 24/7 trading and on-chain settlement.
