According to CoinMeta, the European Banking Authority recommends that the EU incorporate crypto asset lending into the MICA framework and strengthen regulatory requirements for crypto asset service providers to assist customers in accessing the DeFi lending agreements. The agency also suggests that the European Commission conduct a cost-benefit analysis of legislative changes, consider adding compliance requirements for intermediary-type crypto lending services, and set appropriate user suitability tests, leverage limits, and additional disclosure requirements for crypto enterprises.
