CoinMeta data: Currently, 81% of Bitcoin has not been transferred for at least 6 months. Since 2020, long-term holders have increased their holdings by more than 3 million Bitcoins. In the first half of 2026, only about 300,000 Bitcoins were transferred out of old wallets. Retail investors sold a net 140,000 Bitcoins in the first half of 2026, but then repurchased more than 107,000 Bitcoins in the third quarter.
