Google announces that its browser video editor Google Vids is now offering 1080p AI video generation for all users for free. Users simply need to log in with their Google account to generate full HD (1080p) videos, a feature that was previously limited to subscribed users. This tool is based on the Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash AI model and can convert text prompts, photos, audio, or existing clips into new videos. Google has also added some new editing controls; users can set the duration of scenes and upgrade old low-resolution AI clips to 1080p. Each generated video comes with a Google DeepMind watermark, and users can use Google's SynthID detection tool to verify whether the video was produced by AI. Google also plans to launch the Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite text-to-speech function, which supports dubbing in over 100 languages.
