According to CoinMeta, Beijing has issued an approval signal for the RTX Pro 5500 chip of Nvidia, which is expected to be able to circumvent US export restrictions. Sources familiar with the matter said that some industry executives believe that the RTX Pro 5500 is not affected by US export restrictions. Beijing's Ministry of Industry has inquired about purchase quantities from companies such as ByteDance and Alibaba and informed some of them that the government plans to issue approvals. A spokesperson for Nvidia stated that US export controls are outdated, and 84GB RTX Pro 5500 workstation cards are about to be launched. Although seven Chinese companies hold H200 licenses, they have not yet received any chips as of now.
