According to CoinMeta, as reported by Fortune, Professor Paul Chick from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) suggests that future organizational structures will be vastly different from traditional hierarchical ones. The new organizational structure will map out the relationships between employees and their access rights to systems, budget expenditures, and project consultations. Chick points out that leaders will have the opportunity to shape the way humans and artificial agents collaborate within companies, and he considers these “human-agent collaboration” skills to be a core part of transformation. Chick’s research institution found that over 30% of executives at Fortune 500 companies possess these skills, and this group has 78% higher execution capabilities than their peers. He advises leaders to first invest in employee training and skill development, and then to rethink their organizational structures. Chick believes that the organizational structure should be a dynamic document that evolves as artificial agents are added or retire, tracking access rights and decision-making responsibilities ranging from social media accounts to sales systems. Although Chick has not yet found any companies implementing this advanced organizational structure, he is confident that such systems can be developed and has already created his own prototype.
