According to CoinMeta, as reported by Fortune, economists have been studying inequality issues since 2011, exploring the true meaning of the American Dream. In 2014, economists Eric Zwick, Owen Zidar, and Danny Yagan began their research, revealing the gap between wealth distribution in the United States and people's perceptions. They found that the truly wealthy individuals are not the billionaires on Wall Street, but rather those "ubiquitous millionaires" who are around us. These people typically possess at least $5 million in net assets and operate single private businesses. The study indicates that there are about 3 million such millionaires in the U.S., and their total wealth is 13 times that of the Fortune 400 companies. Zwick points out that these millionaires hold an important position in American politics, accounting for about a quarter of federal and state legislators.
