According to CoinMeta, as reported by NadaNews, Citibank Citi announced the expansion of its tokenized deposit service “Citi Token Services” for corporate customers to Japan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) UAE. This service is built on a licensed blockchain managed by Citibank, allowing corporate customers to conduct real-time cross-border fund transfers 24/7 without the need to open additional cryptocurrency wallets. The Japanese market supports settlement in US dollars, while the UAE supports settlement in both US dollars and euros, expanding the coverage to seven markets including the US, UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong. In addition, Citibank also announced on the same day an expansion of its collaboration with Coinbase, leveraging Coinbase's payment infrastructure to support corporate customers in receiving stablecoin payments and automatically settling them in fiat currency.
