According to CoinMeta, data released on the 21st by the Japan National Tourism Organization ( JNTO ) shows that the number of visitors to Japan in September was 3.1037 million, a decrease of 5.0% compared to the same period last year, marking the second consecutive month of decline. The deterioration of the situation in the Middle East has led to higher fuel prices, which in turn have caused air ticket prices to rise, affecting the number of tourists visiting Japan. There has been a reduction in the number of tourists from Europe; in September, there were 46,100 tourists from Germany, a decrease of 12.7% year-on-year; 45,200 tourists from the UK, a decrease of 4.1% year-on-year; and 35,700 tourists from France, a decrease of 8.0% year-on-year.
