2026-10-21 19:40:12
According to CoinMeta, before the "Genius Act" signed by Trump comes into effect in January 2027, final regulations for stablecoins were introduced for the first time. The Federal Reserve (OCC) has relaxed its supervision of stablecoin rewards, removing statements that considered certain third-party arrangements illegal. These rewards will now be subject to case-by-case review, while issuers are still prohibited from paying interest directly. The Federal Reserve is the first federal banking regulatory agency to finalize regulations under this law.
