According to CoinMeta, the Trump administration held a meeting at the White House on October 21, 2026, to showcase its efforts against international cryptocurrency fraud networks. According to FBI data, Americans reported losses related to cryptocurrencies amounting to $11.37 billion in 2025, which accounts for more than half of all losses from cybercrime. The Department of Justice stated that it has frozen approximately $938 million in digital assets associated with fraudulent activities. Officials such as the Secretary of Homeland Security, the director of FBI, the Secretary of Defense, and the Attorney General are expected to attend this meeting. Executive Order 14390, signed by Trump in March, requires prosecutors to prioritize handling cases involving fraud centers and allows the State Department to impose sanctions on countries that tolerate such activities. The Department of Justice's Fraud Center task force was established in November 2025 and has taken various actions, including freezing $52.8 million from 52 wallets.
