According to CoinMeta, as reported by a crypto journalist, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) stated that three companies have informed it of their plans to operate tokenized securities trading venues under the new innovation exemption policy. One of these companies is owned by the co-founders Ali Abrar and Ryan Trinkle; Ryan Trinkle also serves as a member of the board of directors for this company. This platform intends to operate on Ethereum's Layer 2 network at a certain time. Another company is a joint venture between OKX and ICE Markets and plans to operate on Ethereum's Layer 2 network at another specified time. There is also a company that is a U.S. subsidiary of Perpetuals.com, led by a founder who previously served as the head of FTX Europe; this platform plans to operate on a public, permissionless Layer 2 network. The SEC noted that being listed on this list does not imply that the relevant companies have met the conditions for the innovation exemption.
