According to CoinMeta, and based on information from the Chinese Embassy in Saudi Arabia, in the early hours of October 22, the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority announced that King Fahd International Airport in Dammam was attacked on the evening of October 21 (Wednesday), resulting in 1 death and 8 injuries. The material damage is still being assessed. Additionally, an official report stated that a Yemeni Airways passenger plane was damaged in the attack, with one person on board injured. In recent days, airports and important facilities in Riyadh, Dammam, and other areas of Saudi Arabia have been continuously targeted by missiles and drones. There is still no definite information regarding the resumption of operations at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and some airports in the southern cities. Flights at other airports often experience significant disruptions. The Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Saudi Arabia once again remind Chinese-funded institutions and citizens in Saudi Arabia to enhance their safety awareness, reduce unnecessary outings, stay away from airports, oil facilities, military bases, and other sensitive areas, and refrain from photographing military activities and sensitive facilities. It is advised not to travel by air in Saudi Arabia in the near future. Passengers who have already purchased tickets are requested to maintain close contact with the relevant airlines and pay attention to any changes in flight schedules and airport conditions.
