According to CoinMeta, Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince warned that after the public disclosure of a critical security vulnerability in PHP, the network encountered millions of attack attempts. In the 10 hours before the vulnerability was disclosed, thousands of attack attempts were already recorded on the network. PHP Foundation acknowledged that due to a shortage of resources, the repair of this critical security flaw was delayed, and they have released emergency patches to fix two key vulnerabilities. This vulnerability could allow attackers to spread malware or inject malicious scripts into websites around the world.
