CoinMeta data: With the relaxation of import restrictions, India's silver imports are expected to rebound before the peak season for jewelry purchases arrives. The government has issued a large number of new permits, easing measures that previously hindered exports to one of the world's largest markets. This week, traders and bank dealers were allocated quotas of up to 6,000 tons of silver, with the relevant permits valid for six months. Harshal Barot, the chief advisor at the precious metals consulting firm Metals Focus, stated that the new permits should easily be able to meet any surge in demand, so the tight market conditions are no longer apparent. It is expected that premiums will fall significantly on the eve of Diwali.
