2026-10-22 23:16:43
According to CoinMeta, Thomson Reuters announced the acquisition of AI’s startup company Safe Sign Technologies, which had not generated any revenue or customers at the time of sale. This marks the first time in Thomson Reuters’s 174-year history that it has acquired a company that has not yet generated any income. Safe Sign focuses on developing specialized AI models for legal work, and its founders Alexander Kardos - Nyheim were still receiving legal training at the time of selling the company. This acquisition signifies a major investment by Thomson Reuters in the field of generative AI, with the aim of enhancing its control over AI models for professional services such as law and accounting.
