According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently announced that three companies plan to launch tokenized stock trading platforms, namely TSV LLC, OKXICE, and Kephas Corporation. These three companies have submitted applications to the SEC with the aim of operating blockchain-based trading platforms under new innovative exemptions. The SEC warns that being on the list does not necessarily mean that the conditions for exemption are met. TSV LLC has chosen the Canton network, OKXICE plans to use the Ethereum layer-2 network X Layer developed by OKX, while Kephas Corporation has selected the Kronos X Public network. In September, the SEC introduced a five-year exemption measure that established a temporary framework for platforms that allow blockchain-based securities trading.
