Citi: The US-Japan exchange rate is likely to remain between 155-160 in the near term

According to CoinMeta, strategists at Citibank pointed out in a report that in the short term, the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Japanese yen is likely to fluctuate within the range of 155 to 160 yen. Citibank stated that given the weakening of both the US and Japanese currencies in the past few days, there may be further room for the exchange rate to rebound in the short term. However, the bank also noted that Japan's monetary policy is becoming increasingly "hawkish." Additionally, it is expected that during the period leading up to the mid-term elections in the United States, the US dollar exchange rate will remain relatively strong. Strategists added that if the US-Japanese exchange rate rises to 160, it could trigger a new round of intervention actions to buy yen, with the aim of bringing the rate down below 155.
